Part 17: This Means War! ©

It has now been a week since my confrontation with Ellie and Squirt and just yesterday Mr. Tiggles brought me intelligence indicating that they have no intention of surrendering. Apparently my growling technique was not as effective as I had hoped which means this is war! I must now make preparations for my next attack but it will take some time to come up with a suitable strategy since Mom is now more aware of my escape skills. However, there has been a most advantageous development… recently my super strength has spread into my legs and I am now able to, not only stand up to an upright position but also take successive steps, enabling me to move about at a higher rate of speed! For some reason I can’t seem to go for more than a few feet before I fall to the ground again, but I am confident that with a little more practice this newfound strength will be very useful in defeating my enemies. Perhaps my speed will increase to such a level that I will be able to escape out the portal and be back before Mom notices my absence… Maybe… I will keep working on it.

Part 16: The Escape ©

Today success was mine! Yes, my friends opportunity finally smiled upon me and I have achieved my first escape into enemy territory. It all began this morning when Mom was passing food to the creatures through the portal… it’s amazing how effectively she has been brain washed which is why I must not be defeated in my quest. Anyways, after she returned from placing the food outside, I noticed that she did not close the portal door all the way, leaving me with a golden opportunity that I could not pass up! But first I had to make sure that she would not be able to stop me; at least long enough for me to confront the evil creatures who had repeatedly threatened my domain. So I waited and watched for what seemed like an eternity. Then, in a most fortuitous moment, the phone rang and mom was finally distracted. Now was my chance! Using all of my super stealth powers, I scurried across the floor to the slightly ajar portal door and squeezed my way through it. I was finally free but I knew it wouldn’t be long before Mom realized I was gone so I quickly got down to business. Using the growling techniques I had learned from Doo Dog, I challenged Ellie and Squirt to confront me. Slowly they emerged from their lair and stalked towards me. I showed no fear. Pointing my finger directly at them I demanded that they cease their attempts to infiltrate my domain and release Mom and Dad from their mind control. They sneered and told me they would not yield to my demands. Preparing for my attack, I began to move closer but it was too late. Mom had realized my escape and came rushing towards me, chanting my name as she scooped me up in her arms. “This is not over!” I yelled as she carried me away “You have one week to surrender or I will be back!” They growled in response but I knew they were intimated by my bold confrontation and would consider my offer; thus ended my first venture into enemy territory. It was exhilarating! Though it was not a victory, they now know I am fearless and will wait expectantly for their surrender.

Part 15: Practice, Practice ©

Several days have passed and I have been watching the portal with the utmost attention. An opportunity is sure to present itself soon but in the meantime I have been working on my escape skills. In fact last night I finally succeeded in freeing myself from my padded cell by carefully climbing the bars and using my super strength to hoist myself over the rail. The four creatures that dangle above me and have taunted me for months, were now stunned into silence for I had finally reached the height of their lofty perch. However, my success was only to be short lived. Since my landing skills are a little less developed, the thud sound that I made as I hit the floor drew the attention of Mom and Dad. They came rushing in saying “No, no, no!” which made me think they must be pleased that I had finally achieved success but then they kept checking to see if I was ok like my escape was a bad thing. I just can’t seem to figure these people out! What was worse was they put me back in the padded cell which meant I was going to have to start all over again but before I could make a second attempt I was overcome by the sleep agent that permeates the cell and my opportunity was lost. Oh well… practice makes perfect I suppose. I am sure I will have my skills perfected in time for my escape…

Part 14: The Plan

This week it was finally time to go see Banana and after spending some time in my super awesome command station, I was finally able to get some time alone with Doo Dog. We discussed the shiny spring that seemed to have an inexplicable power to draw me to itself and he concurred with my suspicion that it was definitely some sort of evil device placed by Ellie and Squirt. This was the last straw. Not only had they sent a bug into my domain but now they were placing devices that could influence my superhero mind and distract me from the task at hand. They must be stopped! So I began to formulate my plan… instead of waiting for them to come to me, it is now time for me to go to them. I will descend in all my super strength on their secret liar of evil! But how? I discussed all the possibilities with Doo Dog and we finally concluded that I would have to sneak out the portal. I hated to be slight of hand, but I felt it was absolutely necessary if I was ever going to truly ensure the safety of Mom, Dad and Uncle Schmoe. A superhero must do what a superhero must do and as soon as I arrive home I will begin looking for my opportunity to take action.
